Organization
B-WARE Research Centre was founded in 2002 as a spin-off company of the Department of Aquatic Ecology and Environmental Biology, at the Institute for Wetland and Water Research (IWWR) of the Radboud University in Nijmegen.
B-WARE develops innovative fundamental and applied scientific research products to solve practical management issues for clients who are responsible for water and nature quality in areas that are strongly influenced by agro-industry and other forms of anthropogenic pressure. Applied and strategic scientific research on the biogeochemical and ecological processes affecting nature and water management is the core competence of B-WARE.
B-WARE closely cooperates with the Department of Aquatic Ecology & Environmental Biology of the IWWR (Head: Prof. Dr. Leon Lamers) that is leading in its field. Therefore, B-WARE has access to the latest scientific knowledge and state-of-the-art laboratory techniques, which is a prerequisite for maintaining the high quality of our services, advices and products.
Our research approach combines field analyses, in situ field experiments and controlled lab experiments with desk research. The results obtained directly provide novel insights for effective nature and water management, and are an essential support for those involved in nature restoration, nature development, water management and decision-making. This unique approach offers maximum chances for successful implantation of the advices provided.
