Laboratory

In our laboratory, we can perform the complete process from sampling to processing the results of various analyses. Water samples can be analyzed for pH, alkalinity (acid buffer capacity), TIC (total inorganic carbon), TOC (total organic carbon), DOC (dissolved organic carbon), TN (total nitrogen), nutrients (including nitrate, ammonium and reactive phosphate) using continuous flow analysis (CFA) and various elements with ICP-OES and ICP-MS (for heavy metals). Soil samples can be analyzed for dry weight, organic matter, various extraction methods (including Olsen, salt, oxalate and strontium chloride) and a microwave digestion to determine total levels of various elements. In cooperation with Radboud University, we have the capability for analysis of CN (total carbon and nitrogen) and stable isotopes in plant and soil.
